Lent: A Time of Reflection, Repentance, and Renewal

Hey Alberton Family, It’s Not Too Late to Join Us for Lent!

Lent began on March 5, 2025, but guess what? You can still be part of this powerful journey. This season is all about reflection, renewal, and drawing closer to God—and we’d love to walk it with you!

Whether you’ve been part of our church family for years or you’re searching for a place to call home, this is your invitation to step into a deeper relationship with Christ as we prepare for Easter.

What is Lent?

Lent is a 40-day season of fasting, prayer, and spiritual renewal leading up to Easter. It mirrors the time Jesus spent in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11), resisting temptation and drawing strength from God. It’s not just about giving something up—it’s about making space for God to move in your life.

Why Join Us for Lent?

Lent is more than a tradition; it’s an opportunity for real transformation. Here’s what it can mean for you:

🙏 Reconnect with Your Faith – Reflect on your spiritual journey and grow in your relationship with God.
🕊️ Experience Spiritual Renewal – Set aside time for prayer, quiet reflection, and worship.
🤲 Serve & Give – Show love through acts of kindness, generosity, and service.
📖 Remove Distractions – Let go of what pulls you away from God and make space for His voice.

No matter where you are in your faith journey, Lent is for you. It’s not about perfection—it’s about taking steps closer to Christ.

How Can You Observe Lent?

Pray More – Dedicate intentional time to prayer and scripture.
Fast with Purpose – Give up distractions that take your focus off God.
Give & Serve – Bless someone in need through generosity and kindness.
Repent & Renew – Seek God’s grace and allow Him to transform your heart.
