When I Had Nothing, God Provided (A True Story)

This morning, I had nothing. No food in the fridge. Not a cent in the bank. Just an overwhelming sense of uncertainty and a quiet house that felt heavier than usual.

I didn’t know what to do, so I did the only thing I could—I prayed.

"Lord, I don’t know how, but I trust You to provide."

Not even an hour later, there was a knock at the door.

I wasn’t expecting anyone. But when I opened it, there stood someone ready to buy an item I had listed in our community group weeks ago—something I had completely forgotten about.

At that moment, I felt the weight of what had just happened. Of all days, of all moments, today was the day they decided to buy it.

Coincidence? No. That was God.

I handed over the item, received the money, and within minutes, I had enough to buy food for the day. Enough to remind me that God sees, He knows, and He provides—sometimes in ways we least expect.

If you’re feeling hopeless today, let this be your reminder: God is never late. His timing is always perfect. Keep trusting. Keep praying. Provision comes when you least expect it.

Let's be reminded of God's provision in Matthew 6:26  – "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

This beautifully reminds us that if God takes care of the birds, He will surely take care of us too.

Have you ever experienced an unexpected blessing like this? I’d love to hear your story. 💛
